The institutional structures of the "Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean", its work programme for 2009, the fields of cooperation to be pursued in 2009 and the state of progress in the implementation of projects listed in the Annex to the Paris Declaration, are the four issues addressed in the 28-page Final Declaration adopted by the Euro-Med Foreign Ministers at their meeting in Marseilles.

TUNIS, TUNISIA27 October 2008 - Youth from 11 countries on both sides of the Mediterranean will come together in a Mediterranean fishing village between 3 – 12 November 2008. The youth will meet in Ghar El-Melh, Tunisia, to share the different cultures and heritages of the people of the Mediterranean.   Participants will learn about the similarities and shared influences between Mediterranean cultures, in order to achieve intercultural dialogue between the people of the Euro-Med region. They will also discuss ways to make local communities more aware of their environments and able to protect it.

ALEXANDRIA, EGYPTOctober 22, 2008 – On October 20, the youth-promoted initiative Euro-Med Young Artists Network (EMYAN) announced the closing of its first Online Arts Festival (OAF v1.0).   Which was organized successfully online for 10 days between 10 to 20 October 2008? It was organized under 2 campaigns Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Culture’s 1001 Actions for Dialogue and the 2008 European Year of Intercultural Dialogue as an opportunity to showcase the artistic work of young artists from both sides of the Mediterranean. The festival, organized as a part of art 2.0 initiative to promote the use of internet tools in creating and disseminating the artistic productions of the young artists of the Euro-Med countries (Members of the Union for the Mediterranean).
